The Noble Elegance of Escorial Wool

When designing our black cape and collar collection, we sought more than just a fabric. We really desired a material that embodied elegance, rarity, and a commitment to excellence and which could stand the test of time. This pursuit led me to Escorial wool—a fiber so noble and exclusive that it has been treasured for centuries by royalty and connoisseurs of fine textiles.

A Fabric That Defines Our Vision

When you wear a cape crafted from Escorial wool, you are enveloped in a story.   -  a story of tradition, refinement, and the pursuit of the extraordinary. It’s a piece meant to be cherished, passed down, and admired for years to come. In choosing this rare and noble wool, and traceable to it’s origin, we aim to offer not just a product but a connection to something truly special. This is the essence of our design philosophy: to marry beauty and purpose, creating timeless pieces that celebrate the art of living well.

The Story of Escorial Wool

Escorial wool is unlike any other. Sourced from a small number of carefully managed flocks, these sheep descend from a lineage with roots in the Spanish Royal Escorial flocks of the 15th century. Their wool is revered for its unique, coiled fiber structure, which creates a natural elasticity and resilience. This rare property allows garments to retain their shape over time, providing unparalleled comfort and durability.

Commitment to heritage

The fabric’s origin also resonates deeply with our design ethos. Escorial wool represents a commitment to heritage and sustainability, values we hold dear in our work. By choosing Escorial, we are not just designing for today but honoring the legacy of quality craftsmanship that transcends generations.
